Joeboy Biography, Early Life, Siblings, Father, Sister, Family & Education:

Joeboy grew up from a music loving family, his father plays the keyboard in church, his brother was a bass player while his sister was in the Choir. Throughout this period, Joeboy was only a spectator, although he was attending the Choir practice but he never sang. He was nicknamed “Joeboy” by his highschool colleagues.

He graduated from the prestigious University of Lagos [UNILAG] in Akoka, Lagos State, Nigeria where he studied Human Resource.

Joeboy Career:

Joeboy came into the limelight when he released a cover of “Shape Of You”, a song by Ed Sheeran which earned him a great deal of recognition from both local and international music lovers.

Joeboy was later signed by Mr. Eazi into his Banku Music label after so many convincing performance.

However, He rose to fame in 2019 when he released a single titled “Baby” which ganered over 20 million streams on Spotify and YouTube.
The music video which was released later also pooled 16 million massive views and consequently, this skyrocketed the single to be among the top 10 of Apple Music’s charts across Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya.

On August 15, 2019. He added another single “Beginning” where he featured Beats 1’s host, Ebro Darden. Joeboy’s “Beginning” was also another huge success which earned him the #1 spot on Apple Music's chart in Nigeria and Uganda.

In November, 2019, Joeboy released his first EP titled Play Love & Light. It was released by emPawa Africa and was supported by the two singles “Baby” and “Beginning”.
